Fresh Strawberry Shortcake

INGREDIENTS

1 box butter cake mix (I prefer Duncan Hines)
fresh strawberries with sugar
cool whip

DIRECTIONS

Bake butter cake according to package directions (I always add a small box vanilla instant pudding mix, it makes it very moist). For the strawberries, I buy fresh , from a local farmer, add sugar, then freeze them. This makes a super easy dessert throughout the year. Thaw out a package of strawberries, serve up a piece of cake, top with strawberries, and cool whip. Done!
